Ronda is one of the most impressive cities in Andalusia, split in two by the Tajo, a 100-metre-deep gorge. The Puente Nuevo, built in the 18th century, connects the new and old city and offers spectacular views. Ronda is the birthplace of modern bullfighting: here stands the oldest bullring in Spain. The city also inspired writers such as Hemingway and Rilke. Stroll through the old town, visit the Arab baths, the Casa del Rey Moro and enjoy the local gastronomy accompanied by Sierra wines.
